Music Declaration

As the named Hirer of the Premises you have indicated on your booking form that music will be played at your event. Please read the notes below and then complete and submit the form with any attachments required. Thank you.

Type of Event 

  • A Private Function: (e.g., family party, wedding) Private invitation only, no admission charge, and no commercial gain. No additional license needed.
  • Community/Charity Event: (e.g., local fundraiser, W.I., club meeting) Profits stay with the charity/community group. Covered by the Hall’s PRS/PPL License
  • Commercial Hire: (e.g., professional fitness class, dance school, business event, film screening) The hirer is earning an income or running a business. Hirer must provide their own PPL license
     

Music Usage

  • Recorded Music (e.g., Spotify, CDs, Radio, DJ) - note that some streamed music services do not permit use of their service for public performance. The Hirer is responsible for checking.
  • Live Music (e.g., Band, singer, choir)
  • Sheet music Note that copying of some sheet music may require an additional licence


Other Licenses

  • Film Screening: an MPLC or PVSL licence is necessary to show a movie.
